“Road of the Dragon” is an adaptation of the novel by George RR Martin and has an advantage over “Game of Thrones” in that the creators of the series already have all the source material. Viewers therefore hope that the writers will be able to cope perfectly without the need to invent plots that – according to many – had a very negative impact on the level of later seasons of “Game of Thrones”.

Filming for the second season began in April last year, and now HBO has released a trailer. It shows fragments of battle scenes which, according to leaks from the set, were supposed to be spectacular. It seems that the hopes of the production’s fans have a chance of coming true.
In the second season, they will return to their roles, among others: Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, Rhys Ifans, Eve Best, Steve Touissant and Fabien Frankel. “A war is coming and none of us can win it,” says the screen. The heroes are getting ready for a fight that Martin calls the Dance of Dragons. The fact that no one intends to forgive is proven by the words of Aegon II Targaryen: F*** dignity, I want revenge.
There will be fewer episodes
Many new actors have also joined the cast of the series. Abubakar Salim will appear as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers and Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower. You will also see Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong and Tom Bennett as Ulf.
The second season of “Rom of the Dragon” will be shorter than the first. Eight episodes were created. HBO announces the premiere of the series on June 16, which means that in Poland we will probably watch it on the night from Sunday, June 16 to Monday, June 17. In that case, Polish viewers, like, among others, those from the USA will follow the fate of the power struggle between the supporters of Princess Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) and those supporting Alicent Hightower and her sons, not on the HBO Max streaming platform, but on MAX. This change will take place on June 11, 2024.
