On Sunday, May 12, Marcin Dryszel reported live on the fire at the Marywilska 44 shopping center in Warsaw. The reporter first got lost while providing viewers with information from the scene, and then swore on TVP2. “At twelfth service… at twelfth service they said that the level was elevated… that, that… that the concentration level was increased… that there was no… f***, I’m sorry” – came from mouth of a journalist who continued reporting live after the accident.
There is a decision regarding the “Panorama” reporter
On the same day, the National Broadcasting Council became interested in the matter and initiated proceedings in connection with the complaint submitted to the body. “So far, in the matter of vulgarity in ‘Panorama’, broadcast on May 12 this year, the National Broadcasting Council has received one individual complaint. The National Broadcasting Council is initiating explanatory proceedings in this matter with the participation of the broadcaster,” said Teresa Brykczyńska, spokeswoman for the National Broadcasting Council, in an interview with Wirtualne Media.
Unofficial reports from the Wirtualne Media portal also indicate that Telewizja Polska has suspended Marcin Dryszel from his official duties. However, the station did not confirm this information. People close to the journalist said that he had been working at the station for years, but had no previous experience in reporting live events. So far, he has been preparing materials.
Let us recall that a few weeks ago, the National Broadcasting Council fined TVN in connection with Krzysztof Daukszewicz’s statement: “What gender is he today?” The host of “Contact Glass” addressed Piotr Jacoń in this way, who is raising a transgender child. When he realized the seriousness of the situation, he said on the air: “I guess I was stupid.” In March this year, Maciej Świrski also fined the station for the report “Bielmo. Franciszkańska 3”.
