After a serious illness, Marian Hilla, a musician and manager of the band Poparzeni Kawa Trzy, died. He was 52 years old – Radio ZET journalist Mariusz Gierszewski. A farewell appeared on the band’s Facebook profile.

“Dear friends! Our beloved Marianek will no longer play for you. We miss him very much. He fought his disease like a Kashubian Tough Guy. He was brave until the end. Incredible. We are proud that he chose to be with us for eighteen years. Create, play, give concerts, party, help, manage managerial matters. Be a man with an orchestra. We hug all his loved ones,” wrote his bandmates.
Hilla was one of the founders of the band Poparzeni Kawa Trzy. The group started playing together in 2005, initially consisting of journalists from Radio Zet and RMF FM. The team was formed during… a conference in the Sejm. It was only six years later that Poparzeni Kawa Trzy released their first album, titled “Musculus Cremaster”. In 2011, they received the journalists’ award at the TOPtrendy festival. The band’s greatest commercial success is the song “You were everything”.
The musician graduated from the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in the oboe class, but he played the saxophone in the band. Poparzeni Kawa Trzy also stars, among others: Jacek Kret, Roman Osica, Wojciech Jagielski and Mariusz Gierszewski.
