The show “Adarbakarra eta soinujolea” wins the Eusko Ikaskuntza youth award
Euskaraz irakurri: “Adarbakarra eta soinujolea” ikuskizunak irabazi du Eusko Ikaskuntzaren gazte saria
The performance Adarbakarra eta soinujoleaby Maite Aizpurua and Garazi Navas, has won the Eusko Ikaskuntza-Laboral Kutxa Gazte Saria 2024 award, as reported today by the Basque Studies Society.
The authors propose through their performance, which combines music, literature and theater, “to investigate the Basque imaginary, mythology and cultural references from a queer-feminist and contemporary perspective”, using humor and poetry to do so.
Maite Aizpurua (1990) has completed Higher Studies in Dramatic Art at Dantzerti, and has a degree in Sociology and Social and Cultural Anthropology from the UPV/EHU. For her part, Garazi Navas (1995) has studied the specialty of Accordion at the Higher Center of Music of the Basque Country, Musikene, and has a Master’s Degree in Teaching Musical Performance.
The winning project, which they hope to launch in spring 2025, will receive aid of 6,000 euros.
