Australian actress Cate Blanchett you will receive the Donostia Film Festival Award of San Sebastián in its 72nd edition, which will be held from September 20 to 28. The San Sebastian festival announced this Thursday at a press conference the name of the winner of the contest’s highest award. In addition, the actress is the image of the festival’s poster.

With two oscars -for Best Leading Actress for ‘Blue Jasmine’, by Woody Allen, and for Best Supporting Actress for ‘The Aviator’, by Martin Scorsese-; three Golden Globes; three BAFTAs; and three Screen Actors Guild Awards, the actress is one of the talents most sought after by the industry and respected and loved by film lovers around the world. The Australian actress was the first to collect the first International Goya Award in Valencia last February 2022.

Blanchett is a professional recognized throughout the world: actress, producer, artistic director and humanist. She is a goodwill ambassador for the UN refugee agency, as well as a member of the Australian Conservation Foundation. He is also a figure committed to Australian Wildlife Conservancy and has received the Crystal Award at the World Economic Forum in Davos for his work for UNHCR.
