“Treasure” is a tragicomedy created by German director Julia von Heinz, and its script was based on the novel “Too Many Men” by Lily Brett. Although the man wants to end the journey at this stage, Ruth does not give up. Her goal is to reach the Auschwitz camp, which she ultimately succeeds.

It is not the first time that Julia von Heinz raises the subject in her work. In one of the interviews, she explained why she mainly focuses on this in her productions. – As a third-generation German after the Holocaust, I feel a responsibility and a need to talk about history. In my films, I try to answer the question of what the Holocaust did to us and how it affects subsequent generations – . Therefore, the cast of “Treasure” included many Polish accents, and on the screen appeared, among others: , Maria Mamona and Robert Besta. The main characters were created by American actress Lena Dunham and Stephen Fry from Great Britain.
The first official trailer of the production has just been released online, but viewers’ opinions are divided. This is not a surprise, however, because after the Berlinale critics expressed their disappointment and considerable dissatisfaction.
