He stole his wife’s jewelry to give it to his sister-in-law
A few days before the wedding, the woman discovered that one set of jewelry was missing. As she explained, her collection had already been seriously depleted because, due to her husband’s unemployment, she was forced to sell her favorite sets in order to pay the bills. However, the missing set was extremely valuable to her – not only for its monetary value, but also for its sentimental value. It was a golden set that was passed down in her family from generation to generation.
As it turned out, the man gave it as a gift to his sister-in-law because he could not afford any other gift. The woman was furious with her husband and gave him an ultimatum – either within three days he would get his jewelry back or he would no longer support him. He, however, stated that asking his sister-in-law to return the jewelry would be too humiliating for him. Outraged by his behavior, she decided to describe the situation on the popular Reddit forum, asking Internet users for support.
Users unanimously sided with the woman, claiming that her husband’s behavior was completely unacceptable. “He says it would be disrespectful to retrieve the gift?” Stealing your wife’s jewelry is much worse – summed up one of the internet users bluntly.
