After completing compulsory education, he began studies at the Krakow theater school. It was within the walls of the university that he met Grażyna Laszczyk, with whom he fell head over heels in love. Their relationship developed dynamically, but it was only crazy, youthful love and had no prospects of turning into a serious relationship. Despite this, when the aspiring actress became pregnant, at the insistence of her parents, they decided to get married. It didn’t take long for them to realize it was a mistake. – It just happened that way – he explained years later in Playboy, adding that already on the wedding carpet he wasn’t sure whether he really loved her or was just infatuated with her.

In October 1977, the couple’s firstborn, Gabriela, was born, but Frycz was neither eager to be the head of the family nor an exemplary student. – I failed school. This time, he also decided to get married quite quickly, and soon after, they welcomed their first child into the world. Ultimately, the couple had five children: Olga, Antoni, Michał, Wojciech and Maria. Although they seemed to be harmonious and happy, their relationship was not really a good one. When a new woman appeared in the actor’s life, he completely lost his head for her and decided to leave the family. His wife couldn’t forgive him for this.

For some time, they even fought for custody of their children in court, but eventually the actor gave up the fight and completely lost all contact with the children for several years. – He moved out when I was little and we rarely saw each other – she recalled years later in an interview for Party magazine, emphasizing that repeated attempts to rebuild the relationship ended in failure and they reached an agreement only when she and her siblings were adults.
