At the beginning, it is worth being aware that celery is planted from seedlings, the preparation of which usually takes about 2 months. If you got lost and didn’t prepare the vegetables for transplanting in advance, you don’t have to worry. You will find them in most garden centers, so you will be able to transplant them into the ground immediately.

When to plant celery? This should be done after May 15, i.e. after the cold Zośka, when the risk of frost significantly subsides. Remember not to grow celery in the same place for the second time if you started growing it a year earlier. Don’t plant it in the ground after vegetables such as parsley, parsnips, carrots, broad beans and lettuce, because practically nothing will grow. However, it is a good habit to plant celery next to beans, broccoli, cucumbers, garlic, tomatoes and cruciferous vegetables.
