In the Polish People’s Republic, crowds went crazy for them and they added color to everyday life. Can you recognize what these big stars look like today?

Many of us still think that productions made before 1989 are the best that happened to Polish cinematography, and the scenes and texts from these films have become iconic and permanently present in our everyday life. Although the production and budget were usually very modest, hits such as “Miś” or “What will you do to me if you catch me” hold a special place in our hearts.

It was also a period during which many aspiring stars gained fame and public recognition. What do they look like today and how many can you recognize from the new photos?

Have you looked closely? This is, of course, Juliusz Jan Machulski, a Polish actor, screenwriter, playwright and film producer. His credits include such cult productions as “Kingsajz”, “Seksmisja”, “Vabank” and “Killer”.

You certainly recognized this lady easily! Grażyna Błęcka-Kolska gained nationwide fame thanks to the role of Kaśka Solska and won the hearts of millions thanks to the series “Kogel-mogel”.

The above gentleman is known for so many productions that it is difficult to choose the most popular ones. During his life, he appeared in over 120 films and television series, including: in “What will you do to me if you catch me”, “Brunet in the evening”, “Far from the stretcher”, “Controlled Conversations”, and “The Deluge”. It’s obviously Krzysztof Kowalewski!

Even though her face is slightly covered, you probably still easily guessed this lady’s name and surname! Ewa Ziętek appeared on film screens from 1971 until 2019 and played in a huge number of films, series and theater plays. She is known for such productions as “Wesele”, “Sztuka Kochania”, “Złotopolscy”, “Career of Nikodema Dyzma” and “Man of Marble”.

As always, the best is saved for last – Stanisław Tym! The actor, who turns 87 this year, won the hearts of Poles with his wonderful appearances in the films “Rejs”, “Controlled Conversations”, “What Will You Do to Me If You Catch Me” and, of course, “BEAR”.
