According to foreign media reports, Gerard Depardieu was detained by the police. The French actor is accused of sexual assault.

The TF1 television website reported unofficially that he was detained by the police on Monday morning. The actor was to report to the police station in Paris.

Foreign media report that investigators have already questioned the actor in connection with the testimony of two women who accused Depardieu of sexual assault. This concerns events from 2014 and 2021 – the Daily Mail quotes its informant. Both women worked with the actor on film sets, adds the French television station Bfmtv.

As we read on tf1info.fr, one of the women accused the actor in connection with acts of sexual violence on the set of Jean Becker’s film “Les Volets Verts” in 2021. Another testified in January last year. She accused Depardieu of molesting her during the filming of “The Wizard and the Siamese” in March 2014 in DouĂ©-en-Anjou.

The actor is already under investigation in a similar case. He was accused of, among other things, raping and assaulting actress Charlotte Anrould. Depardieu pleads not guilty and emphasizes that if there were intimate relationships between women and him, they were with the consent of both parties.
