The award ceremony to Alfredo Sanzol, with a financial award of 20,000 euros, will take place in Fitero next Saturday, June 29, while the Promotion of Artistic Talent award to Celia Carrasco will also take place in June, on a date yet to be announced. determine.
This is the 35th edition of this award, which aims to “recognize the work carried out by relevant people or institutions, with special ties to Navarra, in any of the areas of culture, either through the exercise of creation, study or research, either through its promotion and encouragement”.
Graduated in Law from the University of Navarra and in Stage Direction from the Royal Higher School of Dramatic Art, Sanzol is currently director of the National Dramatic Center in Madrid. He has written and directed several works such as “Laughter and destruction”, “Yes, but I am not”, “Great days”, “Delicate”, “On the moon”, “Adventure!”, “The magical calm”, “The breathing”, “Tenderness” and “Courage”.
As a theater director, he has directed and adapted, among other classics, “Like the Greeks”, “The Importance of Being Earnest”, “Waiting for Godot”, “Macbeth”, “Bohemian Lights”, and more recently “The House by Bernarda Alba”, which arrives precisely today in Pamplona.
The Promotion of Artistic Talent award, which is in its fifth edition, has gone to the poet Celia Carrasco (Tudela, 2000). He has published the collections of poems “Between temporal and front” (Olifante, 2020), “Selvación” (Torremozas, 2021), “Limos del cielo.
