It premiered in 2013, and today it is considered one of the most popular programs offered by Telewizja Polsat. Each episode attracts millions of viewers who follow with interest the fate of the characters and the transformations of their apartments carried out by the team. However, not all decisions made by experts are approved.
Her grandmother’s apartment had not been renovated for two decades. She asked Romanowska’s team for help
On April 17, 2024, the next episode of the program “Our New Home” was broadcast, featuring Mrs. Paulina and her 2.5-year-old daughter, Marysia. During a conversation with Romanowska, the woman revealed that since her separation from her Georgian husband, she has been trying to combine professional work with single motherhood, which is quite a challenge. For this reason, she can barely make ends meet, especially since she has no help from her relatives and cannot afford to renovate a small apartment in Bródno, Warsaw, which she inherited from her grandmother.
The Polsat landlady immediately stated that the apartment needed a thorough renovation and assured that her team would do everything to improve their living conditions. And so it happened. The specialists immediately started working, transforming each room. The effects delighted the participant, who even shed a tear during the video, but the viewers were slightly less favorable.
Scandal after the premiere of the episode of the program “Our New Home”. Internet users do not hide their outrage at Polsat’s decision
Shortly after the premiere of the episode, a fierce discussion broke out online about the validity of the episode. Most viewers agreed that Mrs. Paulina’s apartment was not in a bad condition at all, and that with a bit of determination and willingness, she would be able to bring it to such a state herself.
In numerous comments under the program’s posts on social media, Internet users also emphasized that there are many more families in Poland who live in much worse conditions and yet do not complain about their fate. In their opinion, Romanowska’s decision seems even more unjustified and made only “for the public”.
She was lucky, I know many people who actually need help. My husband washed his hands and Polsat did the renovation
This is unfortunately a failure
It’s a pity that Polsat didn’t reach these poor, sick inhabitants of our country, with 5 children, no money, a toilet in the yard and fungus in the entire apartment or old house of their grandparents.
This episode is probably a joke…
