A new trailer for the film “Putin”, which has been the apple of the eye for Patryk Vega in recent years, has just appeared on the Internet. In the two-and-a-half-minute recording, we can see that the production will follow the fate of the Russian dictator over 60 years. The film is promoted as extremely realistic, making the viewer feel as if he were in Putin’s shoes.
For the needs of “Putnia”, they created their own deepfake technology to provide viewers with the dictator’s “user manual”
– We couldn’t invite Putin to the studio to take 20,000 shots with him, and the archive materials available online do not allow us to train a model in deepfake technology in the highest resolution dedicated to a cinema film. As a result, after almost two years of work, we created our own pioneering AI-powered technology, which allowed us to create a film character without using a real human model, says Patryk Vega.
“A significant aspect of the film is its topicality. At some point, the story begins to take place here and now. The film allows viewers to gain insight into the internal mechanisms of Russian politics influencing the perception of the past presidential elections in 2024. The plot of the film also synchronizes with current political events during the conflict. armed forces in Ukraine. In order to enhance the realism of the interpenetration of the feature film with reality, the director of the film, Patryk Vega, entered into cooperation with film operators from Ukraine who recorded real events during the bombing of cities or the fighting of soldiers with cameras,” we read in the press release.
