The new Polish Netflix series tells the story of a former secret service officer – played by Piotr Witkowski, known to viewers from the films “Lesson Plan” and “Operation Soulcatcher”, among others. Working as a security guard, a man sees a chance to solve his financial problems faster. However, this will require him to break his own ideals and start an open fight against the mafia.
The actors of “Go ahead, brother” trained with GROM for three months
“Go Ahead, Brother” is supposed to be an action-packed production. The creators wanted to give viewers the opportunity to see what it’s like to work in an elite police unit from the inside. In order to get into the roles of their characters well, the actors trained for over three months under the supervision of specialists from the GROM military unit. Director Maciej Pieprzyca emphasizes:
The skills our actors need to have are something you can’t achieve on your own. That’s why they spent many hours learning various fighting techniques and perfecting their work with weapons. They also had to learn how to work well with their bodies, including maintaining balance.
On the screen, in addition to action scenes, viewers will also see a criminal intrigue and a story about trauma, love and loyalty. In addition to Piotr Witkowski, the series will feature Konrad Eleryk (“Convict”, “Horror Story”), as well as Mirosław Haniszewski and Jakub Wesołowski, who worked with Pieprzyca on the film “I Am a Murderer”, Andrzej Popiel and Sebastian Dela.
