This thread is developed by the character of Principal Vance (Rocky Carroll), who tries to repair the relationship with his indifferent son, Jared Vance (Spence Moore II). Brian Dietzen, who plays Jimmy Palmer, reveals: “Through Jared’s questions, we try to answer the question of why NCIS is important. I think viewers will find a lot of valuable answers about the importance of what we do. I can’t reveal more, but the script is really great.”
