How to live more eco-friendly in 2024? “We have to start limiting ourselves”

How to live more ecologically in 2024? Many Poles certainly ask themselves this question. In today’s episode of “We have time”, Paulina Górska, a promoter of an ecological lifestyle and host of the “Lepszy climate” podcast, will tell us what we can change in our everyday life to be more eco-friendly.

Paulina Górska I have been dealing with ecology and climate issues for many years. He regularly publishes posts on his website that tell us how to live more ecologically. In today’s episode of “We Have Time”, we ask Paulina about why some people still do not segregate waste, what this whole recycling thing is about and how Poland compares to other European cities when it comes to the number of bicycle paths. Listen to our conversation.

How to live more ecologically in 2024?

In the latest episode of “We have time”, Paulina Górska listed several specific changes that each of us can make to live more ecologically. The first thing she noticed was drinking tap water.

Let’s stop buying water in plastic bottles. (…) Generally speaking, we have very good quality tap water in Poland, which is repeatedly tested, is super cheap, and contains minerals. And if we don’t like the taste of tap water, which happens to be me, I filter it

– says Paulina.

Another example given by the promoter of an ecological lifestyle is buying clothes. It is true that we used to repair more, but today, when something breaks, we throw it in the trash and buy something new.

We have a huge problem with consumerism. (…) I guess you need to start by considering whether if I want to buy something, whether I actually need it. We buy almost 60 percent. more clothes than 15 years ago

– explains.

Paulina mentioned several other behaviors that we can change in our everyday functioning so that our lives have a positive impact on the world around us. You will hear all this in the new episode of “We Have Time”.

Where are Poles going for the May weekend this year?

May Day is coming soon. There is no denying that this is a really hot period, but not in terms of temperature, but in terms of quickly disappearing offers of trips, hotels and short-term rentals. How will Poles rest this year and how much will it cost them? Our reporter Klaudia Kolasa asked about all this. You can listen to her conversations with Warsaw residents in the second part of the “We have time” program.
