The series is set 30 years after the events that shocked the inhabitants of a small Alpine village. In 1994, members of the local group took their own lives, and the case, although controversial, was never fully resolved. When a woman who performed rituals for members of this community dies in unexplained circumstances, the peace that had been built over the years disappears, and people begin to fear for their fate again.
Then the main suspect becomes a young man with a criminal past, Jaro Gatsi, who tries to prove his innocence at all costs. He can count on the support of Ida, who came to the village to find her missing father, a local reporter. A feeling quickly develops between the two, but it is put to the test when they realize that they did not meet by accident and that only their own past can help them find the truth.

“Anthracite” is a 6-episode series produced by Fanny Robert, Maxime Berthemy and Mehdi Ouahab. The cast included a galaxy of stars, including: Hatik, Noémie Schmidt, Camille Lou, Nicolas Godart, Raphaël Ferret, Léo Legrand, Kad Merad, Jean-Marc Barr, Stefano Cassetti and Marianne Basler. So far, there are only a few reviews online, but each of them is positive, and their content shows that the biggest advantage is the engaging plot and breathtaking landscapes.
