The British production company Pure Fiction has acquired the rights to the Baztán trilogy and its prequel The north face of the heartby Dolores Redondo, and will turn the crime novel literary saga into a television series.

The screenwriter and playwright Lydia Adetunji – with works such as ‘His dark materials’ (HBO) or “The last kingdom” (Netflix) – will be responsible for adapting the four novels by Dolores Redondo.

The adaptation will be in English and Spanish, as Destino Editorial revealed this Thursday.

“We want to be faithful to the visceral Spanish sensibility of Dolores. We intend to work with European partners so that the series has an epic and authentic essence,” said Tom Winchester, director of the production company.

It is not the first time that volumes of the trilogy reach the small screen, since Netflix adapted the titles The invisible guardian, Legacy in the bones and Offering in the storm to your platform.
