We know who will comment on Eurovision on TVP! Polish Television confirms

Eurovision is fast approaching. The great show from Malmo, Sweden, will be shown, as always, by Telewizja Polska as the main broadcaster in the country. This year, the competition will be covered by Artur Orzech again after a break of several years.

will take place in less than a month. Poland is represented this year by Luna with the song “The Tower”. The singer is intensively preparing for the performance, but she is not the only one. On Polish Television we will hear Artur Orzech again as the main commentator after a break of several years.

TVP confirms. Artur Orzech will comment on Eurovision 2024

Artur Orzech’s return to commentating on Eurovision was officially confirmed during the TVP press conference before the competition. This will be nothing surprising for a journalist – Artur Orzech has been reporting on Eurovision for years. Only his conflict with TVP in 2021 ended their long-term cooperation, which was returned only after the change of authorities at Telewizja Polska.

Artur Orzech then moved his live coverage to the Internet, and TVP focused on Marek Sierocki and Aleksander Sikora, who, with varying degrees of success, tried to replace Orzech’s absence on the air. And although they commented on Eurovision three times, each time there were comments in which viewers pointed out the painful absence of Artur Orzech on the air. He himself tried to cover the competition on YouTube and Instagram – also with varying degrees of success. A big problem was the delay in response to performances and the inability to show broadcasts from competitions on your profile.

It was a scout job. In tests prior to my stream, the delay associated with YouTube commentary was between seven and 12 seconds. But when a total of 130,000 joined people, the servers went down. It turned out that when one song ended, I was still commenting on the previous one – said Orzech in one of the recordings on his social media.

However, the makeshift song is a thing of the past, as Artur Orzech will comment on the next song competition again on TVP. Meanwhile, if you do not have the opportunity to watch Eurovision on TV, we invite you to follow our editorial live coverage now. We will be commenting on both semi-finals and, of course, the grand final. We invite you to Kultura.Gazeta.pl now – May 7, 9 and 11.
