What do spouses have to confess? The speech includes: about exposure to the sin of adultery

The topic of sins and confession arouses great emotions. Interestingly, not only among practicing people. Some time ago the sanctuary of St. Idziego in Wyszków published on its website a list of sins that must be confessed while married. It was prepared on the basis of the Notebooks of Renewal in the Holy Spirit.

Not everything is allowed for married Catholics. Some time ago, priests published a whole list about “wicked practices against conception.” It was developed on the basis of the 2012 Notebooks of Renewal in the Holy Spirit. Interestingly, it included, among other things, an unequal division of responsibilities. According to the clergy, this applies not only to issues such as taking care of the home, but also to neglecting the sexual needs of the wife or husband. As we read in the text published on the parish website, if the partner is neglected in this area, he will be exposed to the sin of adultery.

According to the authors of the list, the use of contraception is also bad. – Marital honesty also requires that intercourse be conducted with respect for the dignity of the spouse, who cannot be treated as an object for sexual satisfaction. Therefore, it is worth being aware that your spouse cannot impose the use of contraceptives that are contrary to moral law – we learn from the text.

Intercourse cannot exclude the possibility of conception

It is worth mentioning that this topic was also described in Adam Kokoszka’s textbook “The Morality of Marital Life”. The author focused, among other things, on what intimate relationships between Catholics should look like. As he emphasized, intercourse in its natural course cannot in any case exclude the possibility of conception. Moreover, Kokoszka mentioned behaviors that are no longer sins. These include, for example: any thoughts about marital intercourse, starting and stopping intercourse, caressing (unless it causes orgasm).
