In Tuesday’s edition of the “Jedziemy” program, Michał Rachoń commented on the results of the local government elections. The host mentioned a graphic posted on social media showing Rafał Trzaskowski and Donald Tusk.
A mishap at Telewizja Republika. Michał Rachoń had to intervene
“I am convinced that it was a joke by this group, put up by the Civic Platform party,” Rachoń said at the beginning, waiting for the mentioned graphic to appear on the screen. It appeared after a while, but was visible only for a few seconds. “As we can see in this graphic, the non-existent ‘democratic coalition’ committee, consisting of two politicians from the party called Civic Platform…” – said Michał Rachoń, when suddenly instead of a poster depicting Civic Platform politicians, a photo of Joseph Stalin appeared before the eyes of the audience.
The presenter realized the mistake made by the TV crew and nervously tapped his pen on the table in silence for the next few seconds. Although the photo of Joseph Stalin disappeared as quickly as it appeared, Rachoń could not ask for the correct graphics to be displayed: “Yes, go ahead, go ahead, guys! We are alive, we are waking up, hello, hello there in the control room, we are getting up, we are getting up!” – he shouted, waving at the same time to the TV crew outside the frame. Despite Michał Rachoń’s requests, the graphic no longer appeared on the screen. The host of the “Jedziemy” program continued his statement, discussing the election results of the remaining parties.
This is yet another mishap at Telewizja Republika in recent days. Viewers heard behind-the-scenes comments from the TV crew and Tomasz Sakiewicz several times. The station also had to deal with technical problems.
