Grażyna Dyląg, also known as Dylong, was born on January 17, 1954 in Bytom. In 1978, she graduated from the Puppetry Department of the Kraków State Theater School. She took her first steps on the stages of the Silesian Theater, and in 1979 she joined the National Theater in Warsaw. She made her screen debut a year earlier in the film “The Dead Cast a Shadow”. In 1980, she appeared in the film “Fever” by Agnieszka Holland. Series fans know her well from the role of Klementyna in the series “” (available on TVP VOD), but she also appeared as a model and took part in photo sessions. However, shortly after appearing in the cult series, she decided to emigrate.

– I worked in Berlin, among others. for Yves Saint Laurent. I earned as much for one advertisement as I did in Poland for half a year, she said. In 1982, she got a job at a private film and television university in West Berlin. At the same time, advertisements with her in the main role were broadcast on German television. She had some concerns that strange questions would arise, but that didn’t happen. – When I was under martial law, I was happy that I didn’t have to clean, two shows a month were enough and I didn’t have to work. Fortunately, once or twice someone only told me: “Listen, you have a doppelganger!” – she recalled years later.

The students loved her classes, so she quickly began conducting them privately. – Young people were pushing each other through doors and windows. And I discovered my true calling – in an interview with “Życie na hot”. In Germany, she also met Marek Włodarczyk. They quickly became parents, but their relationship did not last. Their son, Patryk, lives in Vienna today. However, he did not follow in his parents’ footsteps and became an actor.
Grażyna Dyląg has been working at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna since 1995. Only carefully selected candidates join the Max Reinhardt Seminar, because, as Dyląg herself emphasizes, “talent cannot be taught.” She also got married.
