In Tuesday’s edition of the program “You get up and know”, Rafał Wojda talked to Konrad Piasecki about current social policy issues. The discussion began with a topic that has aroused a lot of emotion in recent days.
The National Broadcasting Council announces proceedings regarding Rafał Wojda’s words
We are talking about Andrzej Duda’s veto against the act on emergency contraception, i.e. the so-called “morning after” pill, which would be available to people over 15 years of age. “Mr. President was not idle, despite the holiday season. He managed to veto the law on the morning-after pill.” Listening to the minister from the Chancellery of the President and listening to the president earlier, one can use such a brutal and perhaps exaggerated example. Well, Mr. President, he could easily have sex with a 15-year-old girl, while the same 15-year-old girl would have to ask her parents for permission to take the morning-after pill,” Rafał Wojda said on air, adding that this is a brutal and highly exaggerated example. .
Konrad Piasecki immediately responded to the presenter’s words: “I would not go so far in this type of comparison. This is treading on very thin and dangerous ground,” he argued.
Professor Tadeusz Kowalski, a member of the National Broadcasting Council, told Wirtualne Media that proceedings will be initiated in connection with Rafał Wojda’s statement. KRRiT will first apply to TVN Warner Bros. Discovery for a recording of the conversation that took place on air. The inspection will show whether the program has broken the law.
Let us recall that at the end of last year, the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) imposed a fine on the station for accidentally interrupting the main edition of “Fakty”. In turn, a month ago Maciej Świrski fined TVN PLN 550,000 for a report on abuses in the Catholic church.
