Willow branches, colloquially called catkins or catkins, are a symbol of spring and the most beautiful element of great load-bearing decorations. No wonder we want to enjoy them as long as possible. Cats look beautiful in vases or compositions accompanied by flowers. Later they can be planted in the garden to enjoy the willow in the following years.

One way to extend the durability of catkins is to put them in a vase with water and glycerin. This is an old method that even flower shops use. Just follow the ratio of 2 to 1 – water to glycerin. The catkins will last a long time and will not fall off, and you will enjoy the spring decoration.

Water matters. You should not only choose the type, but also change it often
The water in which we keep catkins is of great importance. Catkins do not like mineral water, they prefer tap water, which has more vitamins. Catkins like to have fresh water, so it needs to be replaced every day. Sometimes you can trim their branches by a few millimeters to nourish them.
Adding sugar and salt to the water helps. Catkins and other plants will come alive and last longer
Cut flowers and twigs will fall slightly in the vase over time, but a pinch of salt or sugar, or even an aspirin tablet, can revive them and give them their former shine. Remember not to overdo the amount, otherwise you will kill the flowers. It is best to add half a tablet of aspirin per small vase. Remember that we keep the flowers in cold water.
