Teresa Lipowska gained nationwide recognition as the doyenne of the Mostowiak family in “M jak miłość”. In the latest interview, she revealed that although she has been involved in production for almost a quarter of a century, she only asked for a salary increase once. She admitted that before she did it, she had been struggling with her thoughts for a long time, but the late Witold Pyrkosz gave her confidence.

In the second half of the 1950s, she graduated from the Łódź Film School and immediately started working in her profession. Over the years of her career, she has performed on the stage of many theaters in the capital and successfully realized herself on the screen. In many interviews she has declared that she will not give up her career as long as her health allows it, and for now she is consistently sticking to this decision. Some time ago, in the “Pytanie na śnidanie” program, she revealed that thanks to her work she is still in good shape and can afford a decent life, which she would not be able to say if she only had money from her pension at her disposal. – If I only had a pension, I would be poor. she never hid the fact that talking about money made her very uncomfortable and she was not used to negotiating rates. She openly admitted that she had repeatedly disagreed with the amount of remuneration she was offered, either for a role in the theater or in a film, but she did not discuss it with her employers. – I have never argued about money, I have never negotiated the rate in the theater, TV series or film. I thought that if they assessed me that much, then it was supposed to be like that – she recently said in Wprost.

, who played her husband, Lucjan, in “M jak miłość” did not agree with this approach. When he found out that their younger colleagues were constantly getting raises, he persuaded her to also go and ask for a salary increase. – I have been working in the series “M jak miłość” for 24 years, from the first day to this day, and only once, seeing that the younger ones are raising their rates, my husband in the film says to me: “Will you come and talk to me about our salaries?” – she recalled. She added that she “wouldn’t have gone alone”, but a friend gave her courage. – And then, once every 24 years, we went together – she said. She admitted that she was convinced that if it weren’t for Pyrkosz’s intervention, she would probably still receive the amount she was offered almost a quarter of a century ago.
