Each of us would like our home collection of flowers to be like a jungle and for our friends and family visiting our home to be impressed. How to do it? The best way is to use fertilizer for this. Although there are plenty of them in stores, in the case of flowers and plants it is worth using home, ecological methods. Today, Tomek Pazdyk, our Myk expert, will show you how to prepare one.
Make some tea and pour it over the flowers
You don’t have to use strong chemicals to make your flowers grow like crazy. These home, often grandma’s, methods can work wonders. This is also the case here. What do you need to make homemade fertilizer? Only one product, namely black tea.
Make yourself a pot of black tea with one or two tea bags. Leave overnight for the tea to cool. Remember to never water your flowers with hot water, as it can be very harmful to them. The next day, water the plants with tea and repeat this treatment once a week. The effect may really surprise you!
Other ways to make homemade fertilizers for flowers and plants
We usually throw a banana peel into the trash, but we can use it to prepare fertilizer for blooming flowers. It contains many nutritional values, such as potassium, phosphorus and calcium, and also improves flowering and fruiting, affects the development and better condition of flowers.
Another zero-waste way to nourish plants is to use water after cooking rice. The most important thing, however, is that the water is unsalted and without spices. Instead of pouring it into the sink, let’s pour it into a container and water the flowers. Such water contains large amounts of potassium, which, as we well know, has a beneficial effect on the health and condition of plants. Yeast is also useful in flower care. Just dissolve them in warm water with sugar and mix. Water the plants with the mixture prepared in this way. Yeast stimulates growth and protects plants against pests and diseases.
