After three months in prison, Blanchard leaves her husband
Blanchard and Ryan Scott Anderson married in July 2022 in a ceremony at the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri, where Gypsy was serving time for the murder of her mother. In an interview she gave to People shortly before leaving prison, she said that she and her beloved planned to get married again when she was released.
– We want to organize a second wedding with all our family, friends, dress, cake and everything because we deserve it. I deserve it. She deserves it, said the 32-year-old. – Our prison wedding was simply an opportunity to exchange vows, it was significant for us. “I think the party is something for everyone else,” she explained, excited at the prospect of a life together with Anderson, a 37-year-old teacher from Louisiana. – I’ve never lived with a man. Gypsy underwent a lot of unnecessary surgeries and was drugged and poisoned with various drugs for years, and her mother even lied about her age, constantly rejuvenating her. She extorted money, a house, free trips, equipment and other forms of support for the alleged treatment. Cut off from the world and practically incapacitated, Gypsy tried to contact the police, but when that failed, she planned the murder of her mother with a boy she met online. Her case became famous all over the world and was widely reported. Blachard herself published a biography in 2024.
