This naturally occurring process can stunt plant growth, cause growth deformation, and curl leaves, prevent buds from blooming and cause premature death of flowers. While not every plant will have the same negative impact from being around ethylene, it is best to move potted plants or bunches of flowers that you display around the house away from the fruit bowl.

Separate the flowers from the fruit bowl immediately. You’ll see how they improve

This problem can be easily solved by relocating your flower vase, fruit bowl or favorite houseplants, but if you’re really short on space, experts suggest using ethylene absorberssimilar to those used by florists to extend the life of cut flowers.
