However, the actor decided to justify himself. “You think that if an actor plays in ‘Letters to M.’, then he lies upside down for a year, well, it’s not like that. There is a common belief that we are millionaires, but that’s not the case. These are not the rates of Western stars” – says Karolak. “If you play the main role, you will earn PLN 200,000 in a film watched by millions of people. Advertising contracts with large companies, banks or mobile telephony are currently the most profitable for an actor or any other celebrity,” he adds.
Karolak earns a fortune, but he complains: I have to think things through all the time
“Super Express” decided to count Karolak’s earnings and check how they compare with the statements from the interview. According to the editors’ findings, last year the actor earned much more than PLN 40,000 a month. In 2023, Karolak played in five productions, and the rate he talked about – PLN 200,000 – equals a million. However, the data is not accurate because the salary for each role may have been different. However, apart from acting in films, Karolak also runs a theater.
Recently, he has also appeared in the TVN program “Drag me out”. As recently reported by ShowNews, the actor negotiated a fee of PLN 150,000 for participating in the show. Commentators point out to Karolak that given his situation he should not complain about his earnings.
