Vito Bambino again about Fryderyki. He’s sorry, but…

“Com said – tom said” – wrote Vito Bambino on Instagram in a video in which – as he claims – he is closing the topic of the Fryderyk Awards.

Vito Bambino had the most Fryderyk nominations this year, eight. However, he left the event without a single statuette and he definitely felt offended. First, he called Fryderyki “an irreformable circus” and the previously won statuettes “furniture”. “I solemnly vow that I will NEVER again allow my artistry to be subjected to any kind of assessment by a body of ‘specialists’,” he announced, also informing that he would not submit any more songs to ZPAV (Association of Audio-Video Producers). He described the situation at the gala in the following words:

I literally let my guard down for a moment – only to get a filling right in the face. Basically, it’s more of a series of punches…

Then he tried to explain a bit about the post, but in it he upheld the decision regarding ZPAV. Now he decided to add a few more words. “Finally ending my adventure with Fryderyk and commenting on it, I apologize to everyone whom I offended with the post above,” he said, referring to the first entry after the event. Then he added:

I’m not going to delete it so that he reminds me of his inelegant behavior after losing. And yet I would like to add, because there were many comparisons to Scorsese and DiCaprio, how beautifully they handle it. Congratulations. Zinedine Zidane screwed Materazzi – not very elegant, but I always liked him for that.

What did Zinedine Zidane do?

Zidane headed Marc Materazzi during the 2006 World Cup final. Over the years, this behavior has caused great controversy, and many people have wondered why the Frenchman reacted so aggressively. After some time, Zidane mentioned that it was an insult directed by a rival towards his sister, but that he was not proud of his behavior. He was then given a red card and had to leave the field in the 110th minute of the match.

Materazzi said more about those events many years later. – Zidane offered me his shirt. I told him no, that I preferred his sister – Marco Materazzi with a smile on his face, broadcasting the situation from the 2006 World Cup final to Italian television.
