On March 26, during the evening debate on Republika TV, a heated discussion about Zbigniew Ziobro broke out between the invited guests. The house of the Sovereign Poland politician was searched by the Internal Security Agency on Tuesday. During a press conference organized in front of a property located in the village of Jeruzal, Zbigniew Ziobro stated that he did not know about the activities planned by the prosecutor’s office. “The search was carried out in a bandit manner, destroying the door frames and a part of the wall of the house, even though it could have been done by entering through the door normally,” he said in a conversation with journalists.
A brawl in the Republika TV studio. “Shut up, sir.”
Just after Zbigniew Ziobro’s speech, the guests of the TV Republika program were asked to comment on the entire incident. Mariusz Kałużny (Sovereign Poland) and Dominik Tarczyński (PiS MEP) debated on air. Dobromir Sośnierz (Confederation) and Łukasz Michnik (spokesman of the New Left).
The last guest said that Zbigniew Ziobro should answer for the crimes he committed: “He is a person who robbed crime victims to make an election campaign.” The words of the New Left spokesman infuriated Mariusz Kałużny, who argued with his opponent for the next few minutes. Finally, he couldn’t stand it anymore: “Shut up and don’t interrupt me! You had your minute,” he shouted at Michnik.
Dominik Tarczyński also reacted similarly to Łukasz Michnik’s statement: “I will not enter into a discussion with this boy in the studio” – he said to the host. “Not a boy, but a spokesman for the New Left,” noted Katarzyna Gójska.
