The Artium Museum of Vitoria has today signed an agreement with the Anesvad Foundation for which it receives a donation the artistic and documentary legacy of the artist from Alava Juncal Ballestín (Vitoria 1953-2015), composed of more than 40 works.
The donation includes a fund of more than 40 works and a wide range of documents of the artist from Alava, more than 300, of whose legacy Anesvad is heir.
In addition to the conservation of the works and the creation of a documentary collection, the agreement includes the museum’s commitment to publish a specific publication and to promote a research grant named Juncal Ballestín and that it will be linked to feminist theories of art.
Ballestín was trained at the Superior School of Fine Arts in Bilbao and developed a work characterized by the plurality of materials, media and techniques used.
