Few people know that our neighbors prepare potato pancakes in a completely different way. They are equally crunchy, but one ingredient changes their entire taste. What are we talking about?

Czech potato pancakes are prepared with bacon. Thanks to it, the dish will be more substantial and will also gain an original aroma. Additionally, we can also add marjoram and garlic to enhance the taste.
How to make potato pancakes “Czech style”? It is very easy
it is very simple and even an unskilled cook can handle it. To prepare them we need:
- a kilogram of potatoes,
- 125 ml of milk,
- 2 large eggs,
- 200 g bacon,
- 150 g of potato flour,
- 1-2 tablespoons of marjoram,
- a head of garlic,
- salt and pepper.
The preparation method is not much different from our traditional pancakes. First, peel the potatoes and then grate them on a fine grater. Cut the bacon into cubes. Add eggs, potato flour and bacon to the bowl with the potato mass and mix. Finally, season with marjoram, salt and pepper and set aside for about 5 minutes. After this time, add milk, crushed or chopped, to the mass and mix. The dough should not be too thin, and if it is, add flour to thicken it. Now just heat the fat in a pan, add the pancakes and fry on both sides until golden brown.
