Edyta Górniak was supposed to evaluate Luna’s song for Eurovision. Her answer is surprising

Edyta Górniak has so far achieved the greatest success of all Polish representatives in the Eurovision Song Contest. The singer was asked to assess the chances of 24-year-old Luna, who will soon perform in Malmo with the song “The Tower”. Edyta Górniak’s answer was quite surprising.

The final of the Eurovision Song Contest is fast approaching. This year, Luna was the representative of our country with the song “The Tower”. The jury selected a beginner singer from a wide group of artists, including those well-known and experienced on the Polish music scene. In the preselections, the 24-year-old won against, among others, Justyna Steczkowska, Krystyna Prońko and Natasza Urbañska.

Edyta Górniak commented on Luna’s choice to represent Poland at Eurovision

During her last visit to the Onet Rano program, the representative of our country revealed what her performance will be like. Jerry Reeve, who already has Eurovision experience, is responsible for its organization. In 2021, the British director worked on the performance of the British representative. Even though world-class star James Newman sang on stage, his country scored zero points during the competition. Luna’s first performance in front of the audience also raised doubts among the audience. Internet users’ opinions about the young singer’s vocal skills were strongly divided.

Luna’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest was commented by Edyta Górniak, who performed in Dublin in 1994 with the song “To nie ja”. The singer took 2nd place then, and her achievement has never been surpassed by any Polish representative. Edyta Górniak commented on the change in the rules on which the preselections were organized: “I don’t have much of an opinion. I only have one experience in Eurovision, when Poland was invited to this festival. I was selected, I don’t even know by whom. Whether “These were discussions between many people or just a small group of artistic directors,” the singer explained.

When asked to rate Luna’s song, Edyta Górniak said that she had not heard it yet: “I’m very sorry, but I haven’t heard her song. I’m very sorry, but I haven’t heard any songs this year… I hope they’re nice. That it will be an interesting festival this year,” we read in an article on the Pomponik website.
