Ticks are back. My grandfather has been using home remedies for years. They are running away like crazy

Ticks, despite their inconspicuous size, transmit many dangerous diseases. They survive the winter by hiding underground and come out on warmer days. They are usually active from March to November in places covered with vegetation – forests, meadows, parks and gardens. We know how to scare them away.

In addition to staying away from places where ticks may live, there are many repellents that can be applied to your skin or clothing and equipment. Many popular insect repellents contain chemicals, so some people prefer to use natural tick, mosquito or spider repellents. My grandfather relies on home remedies, which I will share with you.

Homemade tick spray with a beautiful scent. You can do it in just a few minutes

You need:

  • 5 drops of lavender essential oil,
  • 5 drops of lemon essential oil,
  • 3-4 teaspoons of vanilla extract.

Mix all ingredients in a spray bottle of 300 ml or more and fill the rest with water (or a mixture of water and vodka). Spray yourself before going for a walk.

First, take a spray bottle and add two cups of white vinegar and one cup of water. Then add two tablespoons of almond or herbal oil. If you want, you can add peppermint oil, citrus oil or lemon juice for a pleasant scent (They also help repel ticks!).

Spray with tea tree oil, water and garlic oil. It works wonders

The last spray you can make at home is a nice-smelling tea tree tick repellent. Ticks are afraid of it and the smell of garlic. Just mix a few drops of the oil with water and garlic oil in a 3:1 ratio. Spray on your skin at least 30 minutes before going out and enjoy the fresh air.
