The manor house that Lucy Wilska inherited is an almost iconic place for the entire “Rancza” series. Did you know that the mansion really exists, but there is no point in looking for it in the town where the action of the series takes place?

“Ranczo” is one of the most popular Polish comedy and drama series, which attracted huge crowds in front of TV sets every day. Although several years have passed since the last new episode was broadcast, it is still very popular with viewers who eagerly return to it thanks to reruns or the streaming platform. Do you know where the fictional town of Wilkowyje and one of the most characteristic buildings of the series, the manor house of Lucy in the series, are really located?

Who did Lucy inherit the manor from? “The Ranch” was supposed to have four series

We could follow the fate of the inhabitants of the fictional town of Wilkowyje (actually Jeruzal), located near Radzyń Podlaski, from March 5, 2006. The series’ Lucy, an American of Polish descent played by Ilona Ostrowska, comes to the country after a divorce and with a plan to change her life. For this purpose, he settles in a ruined manor house inherited from his great-grandmother in the small town of Wilkowyje. Although initially it was planned to end production after four series, its popularity resulted in ten series being produced. The last new one broadcast on November 27, 2016 attracted as many as 6.11 million viewers.

Where is Lucy’s manor from “Rancz”? Not in the TV series Wilkowyj

Fans of “” probably don’t need to be introduced to the town of Jeruzal, i.e. the fictional Wilkowyje, where most of the shots for the series were recorded. This is where you will find, among others: the famous grocery store in front of which the series’ gentlemen met. Another iconic place is the previously mentioned Lucy manor house. Not everyone knows that the estate really exists, but there is no point in looking for it in the area is located over 130 km away. What’s more, we could already admire him in one of the Polish productions.

Who owns the manor house from “Rancz”? We know him not only from the series

The manor house was built in the first half of the 17th century and is located in the village of Sokule, in the Masovian Voivodeship, more precisely in the Żyrardów district. It is a one-story brick building with a residential attic, and a beautiful chestnut alley leads to it. During World War II, it housed Home Army soldiers. Interestingly, we could admire the manor on the small screen earlier, because it was Serbinów, where Barbara Niechcic lived in “Nights and Days”. Unfortunately, if you are planning to visit it, we have bad news. It is currently privately owned, so visiting it is not possible.
