We can use this inconspicuous strainer in many ways in our kitchen. Here are some of the most popular:

  • A smaller strainer can also be useful for brewing tea or filtering coffee, allowing us to enjoy an aromatic drink without grounds or ground beans.

We use this device correctly for the above-mentioned activities, but it turns out that when we strain pasta with it, we often do it wrong.

The easiest way is to place the strainer inside the boiling pot with the convex side down. Then, holding the sides of the strainer and pot, pour the water into the sink and you’re done. Thanks to this technique, we save time and do not dirty additional dishes. However, with this method it is important to properly adjust the sizes of both devices used.
