At the end of December 2023, the management board changed, and by the decision of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz, the company was placed in liquidation. Since then, a real revolution has been taking place at the station, entertainment formats have undergone a metamorphosis, and presenters associated with propaganda messages have been fired.

A few days ago, the changes introduced by the new management at TVP became loud again. All thanks to the actress (available at ), who revealed that the production had lost financial liquidity and the people involved in its creation had not received remuneration since the beginning of 2024. – Our payments were always received by the tenth day of each month. It’s a huge production and there have never been any problems – she said in an interview with , asking to remain anonymous. – Unfortunately, we have not received anything since January, I know that some of the staff negotiated a percentage to cover the fees. I didn’t get anything, neither for January nor for February, she said bitterly.
It turns out that her situation is not unique, because the screenwriter, Paweł Karpiński, also spoke on the matter. He admitted that in fact the team responsible for the series had not received remuneration in recent months, but this would be settled in the next week. – It’s true, there are temporary problems resulting from the blockade of funds. But I have information that within a week the money will be available and we will be able to settle the outstanding salaries of all those working on the series, he assured.

Polish Television did not comment on these reports for some time. Finally, at Fakt’s request, a short statement was issued stating that employees had no reason to worry because they would soon receive their due payments. Moreover, they were assured that they did not have to worry about a repeat of such a situation in the future, because the station had allocated funds in the budget to cover the costs of producing the soap opera. – Financing of Polish Television for this year is assured. The remuneration of the Company’s employees and associates is not at risk, and outstanding payments to contractors are being settled, the announcement said.
