The 26th Orły 2024 Polish Film Awards ceremony took place on March 4. The broadcast of the ceremony was made available on CANAL+ PREMIUM and CANAL+ online. The ceremony began with a speech by Dariusz Jabłoński and singing a hundred years on the occasion of Jan Holoubek’s birthday. Then, those gathered at the gala said goodbye with applause to filmmakers who died in the last year. The main part of the ceremony was hosted by Karolina Korwin Piotrowska and Błażej Hrapkowicz.
Eagles 2024. “Polish Oscars” awarded
16 nominations for this year’s Eagles for Paweł Maślona’s “Kos” is an absolute record in the history of Polish Film Awards. “Filip” also had a good chance of winning the award. The film adaptation of Leopold Tyrmand’s prose with Eryk Kulm Junior in the title role for Orły was nominated in 13 categories. Agnieszka Holland’s famous “” could have won six statuettes, and “Doppelgänger. Doppelganger” and “” one more.
