In show business, there are few friendships that last for decades, but Agata Kulesza and Ma³gorzata Ko¿uchowska prove that it is possible. They met while still studying and shared a 33-square-meter studio apartment for 5 years. Today, they support each other in difficult times and cheer each other on in their career development.

In 2011, the premiere of the series took place, in which Ma³gorzata Ko¿uchowska took on the role of Natalia Boska and her friend, Marysia. It turns out that they form a harmonious duo not only on screen, but also in their private lives. Their acquaintance dates back to the time when they both studied at the Warsaw Theater Academy.

Kulesza took Kożuchowska under her roof. They lived in one room for 5 years

The actresses got along great from the beginning and spent breaks together between classes. When it turned out that Kożuchowska had to leave the apartment she was renting, Kulesza suggested that she move in with her. – Agata was an extremely sociable person. We lived together in one room – in “Removal of makeup” by Krzysztof Ibisz.

For the next 5 years, they shared a studio apartment together. Together they prepared for exams and made plans for the future. Although they have completely different characters, conflicts were rare among them. – We lived together very well, with great respect, even though we are very different, we argued once about who should stay with the plumbers – she recalled in the program. – Twice, once about the plumbers, once about the pots in the sink – Kożuchowska corrected her friend. Neither of them ever hid that it was a crazy time for them. They were famous among students for organizing grand parties, although sometimes they could barely make ends meet.

Almette cheese was a luxury, but it didn’t stop us from organizing a party for several dozen people in this common room. Our hospitality was so famous that one day even a dove came to live behind… the TV set. And when we went abroad, we did it in style: with toast and fish paste by bus to Rome

– Kożuchowska in one of her posts on Instagram. It turns out that although Kulesza seems crazier, in her student days she was a true voice of reason. – We partied together, had fun, but we also made sure not to try drugs or go down the wrong path – she recalled in “Na Żywie”.

Not only were their characters different, but also their career paths. She was the first to gain popularity, first thanks to her role in the cult film, and later thanks to the series “M jak miłość”. Even though Kulesza wasn’t so lucky, she didn’t feel jealous, she just supported her. – My guest called and asked me what I was doing. I say minced cutlets. She was at some boxing gala and asked if she could come. (…) I felt so-so, with these cutlets, these cloths and so on. I open the door, Kożuchowska stands there in a fur coat and high heels. She came in, took off her fur coat and said, “Oh my god, the chops.” And she started eating them. She knows exactly where the real world is – an actress in “Kulisy Sław” of the “Uwaga” TVN program.

Today, both of them are among the most popular Polish actresses and are successfully conquering not only the domestic but also the foreign film industry. Kulesza gained international fame thanks to the Oscar-nominated “Ida” by Paweł Pawlikowski.

Years ago, when we were in college and living together in a tiny rented studio apartment, we fantasized about our Oscar acknowledgments. I don’t think any of us expected that one day we would stand on this most famous red carpet

– Kożuchowska wrote as soon as she learned about her friend’s success.
