Anna Popek lost her job at TVP. What’s next? “I’ll still be useful”

She co-hosted “Pytanie na ¶niadanie”, numerous concerts organized by TVP, meetings and events. Like most of my colleagues from the so-called entertainment on TVP did not speak much on political matters – but she powdered what was happening in the media with her presence alone.

Anna Popek treats her separation from the media as temporary. In an interview with Plejada, she points out that she is busy at the moment – she is finishing additional MBA studies – but this does not mean that she will never return to television.

I haven’t made a decision yet. Media is definitely something I know and love very much. Quit it and start in some new industry? It would probably be difficult for me, but I am currently finishing my MBA studies in management, so perhaps I will find my way in organizing production in this way, or in organizing something related to the media or communication in general. Media is about communication, and I am a Polish teacher, so I like to talk and I like to listen to people. I’m certainly not dismissing the media. I think this is a wonderful and necessary area of ​​life. It is also very much needed in a good version, that is, it should be done reliably, sincerely, honestly and aesthetically. I think I will still be useful in the media, so I don’t blame it – she said in an interview with Plejada Popek.

In recent years, Anna Popek has hosted, among others, on TVP: “Wall behind the Polish uniform” concerts, which were the PiS government’s response to the escalating inhumane situation on the Polish-Belarusian border, she was also the host of “Polish Feasts” – a series of concerts with dance and folk music. He is one of the people whose name appears in the so-called email scandal. She allegedly sent messages directly to Michał Dworczyk, then head of the Prime Minister’s Office.

The e-mail suggested using the national media, together with the government, PAP, Polish Radio and TVP, “to present certain topics to each other, conquer them, create and promote new authorities.”
