Eddie Driscoll is dead. The information was made public only two months after the actor’s death – Driscoll died in mid-December last year. He had been treating cancer for several months. He suffered from stomach cancer, but the direct cause of death was pulmonary embolism – pulmonary embolism, to be precise.

His talent was discovered during an internship by Burt Reynolds – thanks to him, Driscoll began his acting career. His passion was karaoke – he ran two karaoke bars in California.
Funeral services took place in January, but relatives managed to keep both Eddie’s illness and death a secret from the media. Although he played many series and several film roles, he enjoyed the life of an anonymous man in Hollywood.
The cancer also caused him to develop thrombosis. Unfortunately, this risk is increased, among others, with stomach cancer, which he suffered from. As we read in the report prepared by Jerzy Windyga from the Department of Hemostasis Disorders and Internal Diseases at the Institute of Hematology and Transfusion in Warsaw, the risk of venous thromboembolism in cancer patients is estimated at up to 20%. “Pulmonary embolism or deep vein thrombosis is the second most common cause of death in this group of patients, after cancer itself.”
