The main character of “Mea Culpa” is a brilliant lawyer, Mea Harper, who decides to solve the case of artist Zyair Malloy, accused of murder. This one, however, is not as simple as you may have initially thought. Trying to prove his innocence, he discovers that almost everyone is hiding some secret and has something on their conscience. For this reason, he soon faces a dilemma: should he choose family, duty, or maybe his own desires?
The success was to be influenced not only by the engaging plot that the director promised fans, but also by the star cast, including Kelly Rowland and Trevante Rhodes in the main roles. However, the opinions of both viewers and critics are mostly negative. Many of them believe that the production is one of the worst in the history of cinema. Why?

In just 4 days after its premiere, the film “Mea Culpa” received only 15% positive reviews. According to most viewers, the biggest drawback is the underdeveloped script, which is more of an outline of the plot than an actually well-thought-out concept that is a logical and coherent whole. Many also wrote about their comments on Netflix’s social media, pointing out holes in the plot or completely unexpected changes in mood, as well as the presentation of the characters in such a way that it is impossible to like them.

According to data from FlixPatrol, the film was on the podium of the Top 10 most popular productions in several countries, including: in Poland it is already number one.
