Superstitions and superstitions still exist in society and are doing quite well. Even though many people stubbornly claim that they do not believe in them, they still instinctively grab the button when they see a chimney sweeper or avoid a ladder standing with their legs apart. Some people don’t greet each other at the threshold, and others don’t start any important matters on Friday the 13th, because Friday is a bad start. This just shows how superstitions can determine life. Despite this, the vast majority try to treat them with distance and a pinch of salt. However, this superstition can cause a lot of confusion. It is worth familiarizing yourself with the definition of superstition, because in the future when you try to resell the vehicle, it may bring unpleasant consequences.
The Polish language dictionary states that superstition is a set of beliefs and practices based on the belief in the existence of supernatural powers. And although there are situations when we have to fight them, like it or not, we often give up and prefer not to be fooled. Superstitions are ubiquitous in many areas of life. It’s the same with drivers. They also suffer from a number of superstitions.
It’s not just license plate numbers that can bring bad luck to drivers
One of them is the belief that you cannot get into a car with a license plate with a specific number. Of course, the number 13 in the registration number should be avoided at all costs, because it brings only losses. However, there is one more number that can bring bad luck while driving. It’s about 0, which is identified with nothingness and hopelessness. The solution to this “problem” is to fill the empty space with a zero, e.g. with a dot or add a minus sign.
There is also a lot of talk about the color of the car, which may have some not very interesting consequences when trying to resell the vehicle. Cars in the most sought-after colors not only find buyers easier and faster, but also allow you to earn more money. They say that buying a black car means death, and buying a white one means eternal life.
In addition, drivers dream of not encountering a black cat crossing the road. It is a harbinger of trouble, misfortune, and even disease and death. This superstition most likely comes from the Middle Ages and later witch hunts, with which black cats were most often associated.
Of course, we should look at every superstition with a pinch of salt and not adapt our lives to it. Those who are Catholics should generally be guided by superstition, because it is inconsistent with the faith.
