In some cities, there are life windows for pets, which aim to avoid critical situations when, for example, a cat or dog is taken to the forest. Despite this, many people still choose other, shameful solutions, as the Krakow Animal Welfare Society (KTOZ) recently found out.

On February 17, we celebrated World Cat Day. Unfortunately, as the Krakow Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals announced on Facebook, not every pet had something to celebrate. Just a day earlier, another abandoned cat arrived. He was found in the elevator of one of Krakow’s apartment blocks. Not only the place of abandonment is surprising, but also what was left behind. The cat was in a carrier and someone was on it he placed a hundred zloty banknote and a note with the inscription “Please take care of me”.
