Polish song preselections for this year have ended. TVP has already informed all those applying for the competition whether they will become Polish representatives. Unfortunately, although a singer or musical group will represent our country in May, we, Poles, must be patient.
Eurovision 2024. Who will go to the competition in Malmo?
TVP selected the candidate for this year’s Eurovision as a result of an internal vote. Dozens were submitted to the Polish pre-selection. It is from them that the experts, whom TVP has not yet revealed, chose the only one, which we will soon meet. Soon, so when? Unfortunately, this is not known.
In recent years, pre-selections were held as a result of winning the “Szansa na Głos” program or through votes and open plebiscites. This year, it was decided to keep the jury and its deliberations secret, as well as – for now – the winner. We’re supposed to meet her “soon”, which will probably mean the next few days. History shows that the winner of the pre-selection the day after the official announcement of the voting results was a guest of the TVP breakfast program, i.e. “Pytania na śnidanie”. So perhaps on Friday or the coming weekend we will actually find out who will go to Malmo and with which song.
Eurovision 2024. Maciej Musiałowski, Justyna Steczkowska, or maybe…
This year’s entries included dozens of more and less recognizable artists. There were real stars among them. The most recognizable is, of course, the song “WITCH-ER Tarohoro”. The entries also included Izabela Zabielska, Bryska, but also a song from the film “Chłopi”. Maciej Musiałowski, Daria, Madox and Sara Chmiel were also present. In total, over 120 applications were sent for pre-selection.
Eurovision will traditionally consist of two semi-finals and one final. These will be the following days: May 7, 9 and 11, respectively. .
