Polish Television has two buildings. The headquarters of public television is located in Woronicza, and in the center of Warsaw there is the Television Information Agency, from which TVP Info and other news programs produced by TVP have been broadcast since 2018.
When the ruler of the so-called Jacek Kurski was the head of the national media, so he decided to invest a lot of money in new equipment and studios, which are located in TAI at Powstańców Warszawy Square. Interestingly, at the same time there were plans to build new studios for TVP Info in the headquarters at Woronicza.
TVP Info, as well as the entire TAI building, were very well invested during the “good change”.
TVP invested as much as PLN 16 million in this renovation, of which the equipment itself cost PLN 12 million. However, it was carried out with the aim of transferring up to 80% in the future. equipment for a new studio for the one that will be built at the headquarters in Mokotów.
Although temporary, this studio at the Television Information Agency has been lavishly created. The building itself in the center of the capital was to be sold, which was to partially cover the costs of building a new newsroom at Woronicza Street, which was also planned on a grand scale.
It was to be a five-story building with a two-story underground parking lot. However, at the end of 2022, the then president of TVP, Mateusz Matyszkowicz, decided to abandon the project. The reason was the enormous costs. They were estimated at PLN 606 million gross.
But the “power” of the message from Powstańców Warszawy Square ended sooner than planned. When on December 20, 2023, i.e. the day after the Sejm adopted the resolution on public media, the former TVP Info broadcast was turned off, the TAI building began to be occupied by former employees who protested against the decisions of the new government.

Then the new TVP team started working at Woronicza, and the former head of TAI and star of the propaganda “Wiadomości” Micha³ Adamczyk and the rest of the dedicated employees stayed at Powstańców Warszawy Square until January 13, when the company decided to dismiss them for disciplinary reasons.

Apparently, the move to Woronicza has become a fact, and the transport of equipment has already started.
The building at the square was not adapted to news production. Several floors, tight corridors. Paradoxically, this occupation made the decision to move real. Ultimately, it will be much better for us in Woronicza, but for now it is difficult, but it is a transitional period, said one of the TAI directors in an interview with the daily.
According to information from “Wyborcza”, TV stations Belsat and TVP World will probably be produced from Powstańców Warszawy Square. The latter is expected to return to broadcasting soon. In turn, in mid-January, the head of the TVP supervisory board, attorney Piotr Zemła, stated that there are currently no plans to sell the TAI building
