A TV-series and cultural phenomenon. It covers a number of important topics

In the 1990s, Wild West series were a real hit, but Dr. Quinn was something more. It touches on a number of important social topics, including the fight for gender equality, American Indian rights, health and medical issues, and intercultural relationships. The series also deals with the issues of violence, prostitution, addiction and dysfunctional families. Of course, there were also love themes. The series was so popular that it had several seasons, broadcast from 1993 to 1998. Thanks to her role in this production, Jane Seymour gained recognition all over the world, although it turned out that this meant being pigeonholed and labeled for years.

British with Polish roots. He has a completely different name

She was born and raised in Great Britain, and her real name is: Joyce Penelope Wilhelmina Frankenberg. Interestingly, it has Polish roots. Her ancestors were Polish-German Jews. The actress’s grandfather lived in PÅ‚ock. The actress’s biggest dream was to become a ballerina, but fate wanted it otherwise. During one of the performances, she suffered an injury that thwarted her plans. This huge disappointed hope made her make the radical decision to start a new life on a completely different continent. She realized that her original surname, associated with the famous Frankenstein’s monster, did not fit her career in the USA, so she decided to adopt a new one.

Young Jane quickly gained recognition in Hollywood thanks to her beauty and charisma. She starred in several significant film productions, including: as a Bond girl, alongside Roger Moore, in the film “Live and Let Die”. However, now, in retrospect, Jane expresses her reservations about the film, considering it too sexist. She wouldn’t take on the role a second time, given the changing perspective on gender issues in the film industry.

After this role, “Dr. Quinn” appears as a feminist manifesto. A doctor who graduated from Harvard must convince residents who are accustomed to men in this role. Not taken seriously, she also quickly had to take care of three foster children. Additionally, she maneuvered between the animosities of the provincial inhabitants and the Native Americans, thanks to her love for Sally, their partial representative. And who has ever seen a single young woman adopt three orphans? This colorful whole touching on important topics made the series a cult production, still remembered with fondness.

A surprising success. Jane is constantly stunning with her beauty

But neither the producers nor the actress believed in the success of the series at first. Then Jane Seymour found herself at a crossroads, struggling with financial problems after a divorce and trying to find her way in a difficult age for an actress – after crossing 40. The series that became her salvation, maintained a high level throughout all seasons, which was the result of a clever trick – constantly introducing new characters and plots. It also ended at the right moment, avoiding the risk of becoming a boringly repetitive pattern. For her role in the series, Jane Seymour won a Golden Globe, which was just one of many achievements in her career. She also received other prestigious awards, such as an Emmy for portraying Maria Callas in the TV movie “Onassis – The Richest Man in the World”.

Jane Seymour has been married four times and has four children. Now he is less public, but he enjoys his hobbies: riding a motorcycle, sports and health and nutrition. She is just turning 73 and still looks beautiful!
