TVP employees from the times of the so-called good change, they often said that thanks to them, the media in Poland finally stopped speaking with one voice. The faithful viewers of the so-called national media, who immediately after the Sejm adopted a resolution on “restoring legal order and the impartiality and reliability of the public media and the Polish Press Agency”, appeared in front of TVP buildings to express their opposition to these changes.

Now the mood around this matter has calmed down a bit, and viewers accustomed to the broadcasts from the former TVP Info have moved to TV Republika, which has since become one of the most watched news stations in the country. Moreover, the biggest stars of public media from the times of the so-called good change, such as Danuta Holecka. The station itself describes itself as an “oasis of freedom of speech” and openly sympathizes with the PiS political camp, shaping the media message to their advantage.
In Tuesday’s TV news of all stations, one of the most important topics was the report from the investigative committee on envelope elections. We looked at how the same topic was presented in “19.30” TVP1, “Fakty” TVN and “Dzisiaj” TV Republika, which are announced by the hosts as “real Polish news”. Moreover, in yesterday’s edition, Adrian Borecki, who started his media career as a reporter in TVP’s “Wiadomości”, made his debut as a host.
The hottest topic was the report from the investigative commission on envelope elections. How did they present it on three different stations?
The main news daily TVN quoted a fragment of Dariusz Joński’s statement, which was addressed to Paweł Jabłoński, a former member of the commission as of Tuesday.
– I can’t imagine that you, as an outsider who advised the witness Dworczyk, would ask him questions in a moment, at 12 o’clock. You were an advisor to Prime Minister Morawiecki and you brazenly deceived us because I asked all MPs to write a declaration that they had no conflict of interest. – we heard in “Fakty”.

However, the flagship news program of TV Republika completely omitted these words. The point of view of Law and Justice politician Paweł Jabłoński was shown. – This committee includes people who were much more involved in the preparation of the elections. Every person who was a member of the Sejm took an active part, for example Mr Czarnek, Mr Buda, Mr Joński. All of you took part in it legislatively – thundered a former member of the commission for envelope elections.
